Andrew Tate speaks out after being charged with human trafficking, rape and sexual exploitation
The controversial British social media influencer Andrew Tate has been charged with rape, human trafficking and forming a criminal gang to exploit women in his adopted home Romania, where he has been in custody since the start of the year.
His brother Tristan, as well as two Romanian women, face trafficking and other charges as part of the same investigation.
The brothers are accused of duping seven women, sexually exploiting them and subjecting them to physical violence.
Prosecutors accuse the brothers of recruiting their victims by seducing them and falsely claiming to want a relationship or marriage.
The alleged victims were then taken to properties in the Romanian countryside where, through physical violence, constant surveillance and mental intimidation, they were forced to produce pornographic content for social media sites that generated huge amounts of money.
