While Peter is attempting to reason with Doc Ock in Spider-Man 2, he takes off his mask. Peter's mask gets harmed by Sandman in Spider-Man 3 and later torn off by Venom. Peter's mask is taken off in The Amazing Spider-Man as he is being strangled by The Lizard.
